South Dakota State University offensive record-setters Jake Wieneke and Zach Zenner have been named to the College Sporting News 2014 Fabulous Fifty FCS All-America Team.

Wieneke also was named Freshman of the Year by the organization.

Wieneke, a redshirt freshman from Maple Grove, Minnesota, burst onto the scene by averaging 19.7 yards every time he touched the ball in 2014. Previously the runner-up for the Jerry Rice Award, Wieneke tallied 73 receptions for 1,404 yards and 16 touchdowns through the air while adding 52 rushing yards. His reception and receiving yard totals were the second most in a season in school history, while his 16 touchdowns set a new SDSU single-season mark and tied the Missouri Valley Football Conference record.

Wieneke also was an All-America selection by The Associated Press and The Sports Network in 2014.

A consensus All-America selection, Zenner became the first player in Division I history to reach the 2,000-yard mark in three consecutive seasons, finishing the 2014 season with 2,019 yards and 22 rushing touchdowns. A senior from Eagan, Minnesota, Zenner added 28 receptions for 331 yards and four touchdowns. He was selected to play in the East-West Shrine Game earlier this month.

The FCS Fabulous Fifty honor was the sixth All-America selection of the season for Zenner, who also earned first-team recognition from the American Football Coaches Association, Walter Camp Football Foundation, Sports Network, Associated Press and the FCS Athletic Directors Association.
