The South Dakota State University softball team tied an NCAA Division I record with four consecutive home runs in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday against Fort Wayne.
SDSU carried its offensive onslaught into the second game en route to a sweep by scores of 12-1 and 16-2. Both games were called by the run rule after five innings.
In sweeping the three-game Summit League series, the Jackrabbits upped their overall record to 21-32 and improved to 6-9 in league play. Fort Wayne dropped to 11-37 overall and 2-13 in The Summit League.
