South Dakota State seeks its first nine win regular season in football since 1979 when the Jackrabbits play at Western Illinois on Saturday.

The fifth ranked FCS squad carries an 8-2 overall mark into the Missouri Valley Football Conference game against the 5-5 Leathernecks. SDSU is 5-2 in league play while WIU is 4-3.

Kickoff time in Macomb, Illinois, is 1 p.m. and the game can be heard on 570 WNAX radio and across the Jackrabbit football network.

A victory could not only secure the Jacks a playoff bid, but most likely a first round bye and a home game in round two.
