Senior Joel Reichow and sophomore Emily Donnay were named the men’s and women’s Summit League Cross Country Athletes of the Week the league office announced Tuesday.

Both runners competed at the Roy Griak Invitational in Falcon Heights, Minnesota, over the weekend.

Reichow finished in 35th place, completing the 8K course in 25:49.9. The White Bear Lake, Minnesota native led the Jacks to a 13th-place finish in a field that featured seven nationally-ranked programs. It is Reichow’s second athlete of the week award in as many competitions on the season and the fifth of his career.

Donnay earns her first weekly accolade after posting a 66th-place finish in 23:01.2. It was Donnay’s second best 6K time of her career, with her personal-best coming Sept. 9 at the Oz Memorial (22:48.9). SDSU finished 28th in the 36-team field that was highlighted by seven nationally-ranked teams.
