The South Dakota State University wrestling program received national recognition Wednesday as its 2015 recruiting class was ranked 23rd in the nation by Intermat.

The Jackrabbits were the top-ranked team from the Western Wrestling Conference to be included in the top 25. Arizona State was selected as having the top recruiting class, followed by Oklahoma State and West Virginia.

SDSU signed 10 high school standouts to make up the 2015 recruiting class. The seven signees during the fall signing period included Brett Bye (Vermillion), Anthony Cefolo (Hanover Park, N.J.), Kasey Klapprodt (Rapid City), Henry Pohlmeyer (Johnston, Iowa), Louie Sanders (Truman, Minn.), Jimsher Sidhu (Surrey, British Columbia) and Cameron Sykora (Wheaton, Minn.).

In addition, the Jackrabbits signed Zac Carlson (Kerkoven, Minn.), Lucas Eastman (Rochester, Wash.) and Martin Mueller (Rapid City) during the spring.

It marks the second time in three years the Jackrabbits have received a top-25 ranking from a national publication. The 2013 recruiting class was selected as sixth best by Amateur Wrestling News and 16th by Division I College Wrestling.
