This week, Raven Industries officials announced they’re donating $5 million to South Dakota State University for their new Precision Ag Building. SDSU President Dr. Barry Dunn says the total cost of the project is $55 million and Raven’s contribution will help them in moving forward with the new facility.

He says they’re also seeking legislation this session to help pay for the project.

Dunn says they’re not seeking general fund dollars for the facility, but will need close to $31 million from the state for the Precision Ag project.

Dunn says they have 80 students currently majoring in the Precision Ag program, which was started last year.
