The SDSU Pork Classic is scheduled for Saturday (January 27) at Frost Arena in Brookings. SDSU Extension Swine Specialist Dr. Ryan Samuel says the annual event showcases the state’s pork industry and raises money for student scholarships.

He says they’ll be auctioning off pork bundles and a live hog during the event.

Samuel says a barbecue meal will also be served in the concourse at Frost Arena at 1 pm, followed by an SDSU basketball double header starting at 2 pm.

Samuel says their goal each year is to support eight to 10 scholarships at $1,000 each. Tickets for the game can be purchased at GOJACKS.com.
