South Dakota State University right-hander Ryan Froom was honored Monday as the final Summit League Pitcher of the Week of the 2019 season for his efforts in helping the Jackrabbits secure the No. 2 seed in this week’s conference tournament.

A senior from Crystal, Minnesota, Froom limited North Dakota State to one unearned run over six innings in the second game of a May 17 doubleheader in Fargo, North Dakota. He struck out four, walked two and scattered four hits in improving to 6-4 on the season.

The victory was the 18th of his career, tying him with Timm Gronseth (1985-89) for 10th place on the SDSU career charts.
