South Dakota State continued its climb and the Missouri Valley Football Conference placed seven teams in this week’s FCS football polls.

Both the FCS Coaches and STATS FCS ratings have SDSU as the #6 team in the country, up a notch from last week.

Illinois State is the highest rated MVFC team at either #3 or #4.  North Dakota State dropped to eighth in both polls after losing to South Dakota.

Youngstown State, Indiana State, Western Illinois and Northern Iowa each rate in the top 25 with USD and Southern Illinois receiving votes.

South Dakota State will host Northern Iowa on Saturday while South Dakota entertains the only MVFC team not getting votes, Missouri State.
