The 25th annual SDSU Lamb Bonanza will be held at Frost Arena in Brookings on Saturday. SDSU Extension Sheep Specialist Jeff Held says they’ll celebrate the role the sheep industry plays in the state, plus raise money for student scholarships. Six pelts will be auctioned off at half time of the women’s and men’s basketball games in that effort.
He says the amount of money raised for scholarships has grown over the years.
Held says lamb sandwiches and cracker spread will be served from 1 to 2 pm on the north side of the track in Frost Arena.
The Lamb Bonanza is sponsored by the South Dakota Sheep Grower’s Association, and the SDSU Animal Science and Athletic Departments. For game ticket information go to GOJACKS.COM.
