SDSU Journalism School Responds to Market Changes

The incoming Director of the newly named School of Communications and Journalism at South Dakota State University says the way they teach is changing.
Lyle Olson will start his new position, and the name will change on July first.

He says they have much more real world, involved learning now…..

Olson says they also focus on ethics and responsible reporting……

Olson says they recognize the increasing threats to journalism…..

Olson says another change is in the jobs in the business. He says of seventy-five graduates last year, only fourteen are working in traditional media.
