South Dakota State’s Sydney Bormann was named the league’s Golfer of the Week after securing her first-career tournament victory at the Lady Thunderbird Invitational, March 15-16, while North Dakota State’s Andrew Israelson earned the men’s honor for his third-place performance at the GCU Invitational.

Bormann edged out the victory by one stroke, turning in an even-par 144 scorecard for the tournament. The sophomore from Parkston, S.D., tied career bests for 18-hole total (71) and 36-hole total (144).

Israelson finished third in a 93-golfer field at the GCU Invitational, marking his fourth top-10 and second top-five finish in 2017-18. The sophomore from Staples, Minn., carded rounds of 73-68-68 for a 4-under 209.
