To be the best you have to play the best and that is what the South Dakota State men’s golf fall schedule reflects in 2015.

“We are looking forward to this year’s schedule,” Casey VanDamme, Director of Golf said. “The guys are excited and looking forward to the challenge.”

For the third consecutive year, South Dakota State travels to Fort Collins, Colo., Sept. 21-22 for the Ram Masters Intercollegiate. The Jacks finished 15th last year.

The Jackrabbits host the inaugural Jackrabbit Sept. 26-28, which welcomes some of the nation’s top collegiate teams to the Prairie Club in Valentine, Neb. The three-day event features one of the season’s top collegiate fields. The field includes: Oregon, Arizona State, Texas A&M, Missouri, South Florida, Central Florida, East Carolina, Michigan State, Nebraska, Creighton, McNeese State, Cincinnati and Connecticut.

SDSU makes its sixth appearance at The Bill Ross Intercollegiate in Kansas Oct. 12-13. The Jackrabbits’ best finish came in 2006-07, placing fifth.

The Jackrabbits compete in the Quail Valley Intercollegiate, hosted by McNeese State in Vero Beach, Fla., to close their fall season Oct. 26-27. Quail Valley Golf Club has hosted numerous USGA and PGA events, including Q-School and U.S. Open qualifying and state amateur events.
