The South Dakota Board of Regents has given its approval for a Precision Ag Technology Major at South Dakota State University. Ag Dean Dr. Barry Dunn says the approval puts SDSU in a unique position for offering a much demanded major.

Dunn says interest in precision agriculture started earlier and SDSU was able to provide some classes before asking for approval for the major. He says with the new major, they expect to attract students from all over the country.

Dunn says they hope to get the Precision Ag Major rolling by the fall of 2016.
