Farmers and Ranchers need to be prepared should they get hit with any disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic. SDSU Extension has a list of recommendations on their website. SDSU Extension Livestock Business Management Field Specialist Heather Gessner says livestock producers need to have a list written out of what needs to be done should someone have to fill in on the ranch.

She says for those feeding cattle, having a complete work list outlined and accessible is critical in keeping the operation running smoothly without any problems.

Gessner says farmers also need to have their own list of chores written out and available.

Gessner says it’s also important to have all your paperwork in order and your will updated as well as all health care directions accessible.
