Over 50 research projects will be featured at SDSU’s Beef Day this Thursday. SDSU Extension Beef Feedlot Management Specialist Warren Rusche says the inaugural event will cover a wide range of beef topics.

He says SDSU graduate students will have a poster session highlighting their research projects. One will look at the how bedding assists cattle dealing with cold weather.

Rusche says other research presentations cover net wrapping feed, improving beef carcass quality and consumer preferences.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. at the Club 71 room at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium. The program runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
