This Saturday, February 12th South Dakota State University will be hosting its annual Pork Classic at its home basketball doubleheader against Omaha. Along with the basketball game, there will be a Pork loin Barbeque starting at 1:00 p.m. followed by a fundraising auction during the game. SDSU professor and swine extension specialist Bob Thaler says the event has a lot of history as it is the 50th year of the classic.

He also says all proceeds from the event are going to support students continuing their education.

Thaler noted that anyone that has a ticket to the game can participate in the event.
