A pair of South Dakota State University athletes have earned weekly conference awards for swimming and wrestling.

Emily Campbell has been named the Summit League Swimmer of the Week, as announced by league officials Tuesday afternoon.

Campbell had three top-two finishes, including two wins against Nebraska over the weekend.

The Aberdeen native won the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.07 and the 200 in 2:22.90. Campbell also took second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:11.87 and was a part of the second-place 200 medley relay team (1:50.03).  Both of Campbell’s times in the breaststroke rank third in the league, while her 200 IM time is sixth.

— Senior Cody Pack has been named the Western Wrestling Conference Wrestler of the Week, as announced by conference officials Tuesday afternoon.

Pack went 4-0 at the 22nd Annual Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open on Sunday. The two-time NCAA qualifier recorded two tech. falls en route to his first Dak Open title after losing in the championship bout the previous two seasons.

Following a first-round bye, Pack beat Minot State’s Devin Combs and Nebraska’s Austin Chuancey 21-4 and 18-0, respectively.

The reigning WWC champ took down two Arizona State foes to cap off his title as he beat Joel Smith 5-2 in the semis and Gene Pierce in the finals.
