After playing collegiately and pursuing golf professionally, Maggie Murphy was given a new opportunity by South Dakota State Director of Golf Casey VanDamme when she was named the assistant golf coach for the Jackrabbits Thursday.

Murphy pursued professional golf status from 2010 to 2012 and most recently played in the 2016 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur.

The Sioux Falls native played in the 2011 U.S. Golf Association Women’s State Team Championship. Competing in the South Dakota Golf Association, Murphy was the 2011 Players Cup Champion, the 2010 Match Play Champion and the 2007 Amateur Champion.
