The South Dakota Soybean Association membership discussed the upcoming state legislative session and elected new officers during their virtual annual meeting. Outgoing President Jeff Thompson says they did not have any official resolutions in the business meeting. However, they did discuss two ag issues that will come up during the state legislative session, including the Department of Ag merger with DENR.

Thompson says they also held district and state elections and are excited about the new association leaders.

Jordan Scott of Valley Springs made history becoming state president at the same time his father Kevin is serving as American Soybean Association President.

The South Dakota Soybean Association annual meeting was held virtually for the first time.
