The American Wind Energy Association held their annual convention in New Orleans last week. Attendance was up, with over eight thousand people registered for the conference.

South Dakota currently ranks 18th in the country with over nine hundred seventy megawatts of wind produced power. That production is about twenty five percent of the states total power output.
