The federal omnibus funding bill, just passed by Congress has good potential for a South Dakota based water project.
Troy Larson, Executive Director of the Lewis & Clark Regional Water Project says more money was added to overall rural water funding…..
Larson says if the formula stays the same, they should see more money next year…..
Larson says representatives from the three states pushed through the extra money…..
The project is about sixty percent complete, and has been short of federal funding the past few years. The project would pipe water from wells near Vermillion to towns and cities in South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota.
