The South Dakota House yesterday (Monday) upheld Governor Kristi Noem’s veto of a bill making revisions to the Uniform Commercial Code.
Bill sponsor, District 18 Representative Mike Stevens of Yankton says its more of a delay than defeat….

Stevens says more time may help members become more comfortable with the contents….

Opponents pointed to references to crypto currency and a central bank digital currency as problems.
Stevens says it was a big change from the initial passage of the bill….

The veto override failed on a vote of 30 to 37.
