South Dakotans tend to help when and where needed, and that is now showing up on a national scale.
Wendy Spencer is the CEO of the Corporation for National and Community Service, and says their annual survey on volunteering shows the state taking another big jump……..

Spencer, who spent some time in South Dakota last week, as part of her fifty state tour, saw some young volunteers in action….

The survey found that over thirty five percent of state residents do some volunteer work each year.
