The South Dakota Board of Technical Education was created by a constitutional amendment passed by voters last November. They will have oversight of the four technical schools in the state.
Board Member Doug Ekeren of Yankton says while the board became official on July first, they have been doing lots of homework….

Ekeren, President of Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, says the tech schools are doing a good job now…..

Ekeren says part of their mission is to work with the Board of Regents to align degree programs…..

The board will meet next Monday and Tuesday at Western Dakota Tech in Rapid City.
