While the law changes don’t take effect until July first, Governor Dennis Daugaard has already made appointments to the new Board of Technical Education. Voters approved a constitutional amendment last November to set up the board to oversee the state’s four technical schools.
Daugaard says the board can help the schools avoid course duplication, and focus on workforce training….

Daugaard says there may need to be courses added or moved around….
The Governor appointed nine members to the board from around the state.
Board members will meet before July first to get organized.
