Several tax cut bills will have their first hearing today in front of the South Dakota House Appropriations committee.

Two would cut sales taxes and the third would exempt the first one hundred thousand dollars of a homes value for property taxes.

Committee member, District 17 Representative Chris Kassin of Vermillion, says he is hearing about all of those bills….

Kassin says he thinks one or more of the cuts would fit into the state revenue projections….

Any action taken by the committee would have to be approved by the full House and then sent through the Senate.
