A South Dakota legislative task force, working to form new natural resource districts, should wrap up their part of the plan by late November.
Senator Arthur Rusch of Vermillion is a member of the River Basin Natural Resource District Oversight Advisory Task Force.
He says they have drawn maps of the nine new resource districts……….
Rusch says they are still working out details of the members of the boards needed to oversee the districts.
He says they have heard opposition to their plans…..
While water quality is a priority for the districts, Rusch says it’s not the only one….
Rusch says they hope to have a proposal for the 2017 legislature following their November meeting.
