A task force looking at campaign finance rules and reporting was assembled by South Dakota Secretary of State Shantel Krebs.
One of the task force members is Representative Julie Bartling of Gregory. She says Krebs doesn’t now have the authority to do more than gather and post campaign finance reports…..

Bartling says they have talked about some alternatives…..

There have been some complaints in the past of slow and incomplete reporting of campaign finances.

Bartling says the task force is bi-partisan and they are working that way…

Bartling says they may have some legislative proposals for the 2017 session.
