The Substance Abuse Prevention Interim Study Committee of the South Dakota Legislature will hold their second meeting of the summer Tuesday in Pierre.
The committee was authorized by this year’s legislature to look at drug abuse, specifically meth in the state.
Committee Vice Chair, Representative Mike Stevens of Yankton, says they will again hear from state and local agencies dealing with the problem…..

Stevens says they need to stay focused on the issue…..

Stevens, an attorney, says he has seen the damage caused by meth abuse and addiction…..

Stevens says their goal is to deal with the legal and social issues of meth abuse.
