The Substance Abuse Prevention Interim Study committee of the South Dakota Legislature will meet for the final time today in Pierre.

The committee was formed to look at the spread of meth in the state, but expanded its scope over the summer.

Committee Co-Chair Representative Mike Stevens of Yankton says they will have some educational ideas….

Stevens says they have added prescription drugs to the abuse list…..

Stevens, a lawyer, says he has seen the drug abuse cycle……

Stevens says the committee may have two or three suggested bills for the 2017 session.
