Another South Dakota summer study committee will wrap up this week.
The “Regulation of Nursing and Assisted Living Beds Interim Committee” meets Thursday in Pierre.
They have been looking at the availability and costs of nursing home and assisted live beds across the state.
Committee Chairman, Representative Wayne Steinhauer of Hartford, says he has learned a lot through the process……

Steinhauer says there is a process now that nursing homes can use to expand, but it is difficult and expensive…..
