Members of the Joint Commerce and Energy Committee of the South Dakota Legislature are scheduled to fly to the Big Stone Power Plant near Milbank, and Northwestern Energy headquarters in Huron today.
Committee member, Senator Craig Kennedy of Yankton says he won’t be making that flight……

Kennedy says the committee is learning about power production, but there are other options out there…..
The committee was holding a two-day meeting this week on various regulatory and energy issues.
