Admission fees for the South Dakota State Fair will be going up this year.
Fair Manager Peggy Besch appeared before the Rules Review Committee of the legislature….
Besch says they depend on gate fees for their operating budget…
Department of Ag and Natural Resources Secretary Hunter Roberts said they need the revenue to keep the fair competitive….
The fee changes had been included in the budget for the fair.
The committee approved the rules unanimously.
