A story out last week (Bloomberg) reported that pirate chips placed on computer motherboards made in China may open a backdoor to allow hackers access to those computers.
South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds says the military has been aware of the possibilities…

The company named in the reports, Super Micro Computers, is the largest supplier of motherboards in the world.
Rounds says there is no way to totally stop hackers….

Rounds says he can’t confirm that the hacks are actually taking place…

Rounds, a member of the Armed Services Committee, is Chairman of the Subcommittee on Cybersecurity.
