The Veterans Administration has proposed making changes to their healthcare facilities in South Dakota, downsizing and possibly closing some of them.

Senator Mike Rounds says he opposes those suggestions….

Rounds says the result would be poorer service in fewer areas….

Rounds says the VA is not following the law passed by Congress in 2018….

The plan also calls for new VA hospitals to be built in urban areas like Omaha.
