US Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has said that they may not take up many major issues this year due to the Presidential election in November. One of those issues that may get sidelined is consideration of the Trans Pacific Partnership trade agreement.
South Dakota Senator John Thune says he would like to see a more active agenda….
Thune says he thinks TPP would be good for the state….
Thune says he doesn’t see much interest on the issue from either side….
Congress can only vote up or down on the trade agreement once it is finalized, they can’t add any amendments.
