A bill that would set up post election audits of ballots cast was debated in the South Dakota Senate Monday.
Sponsor, Senator David Wheeler of Huron said the bill isn’t the result of any state election problems….
Wheeler says the bill sets out the process for county auditors….
Wheeler says it won’t be much of an added burden for auditors.
The bill passed the Senate on a vote of thirty-four to zero. It now goes to a House committee.
