SD Senate Committee Approves Redistricting Map

The South Dakota Senate Legislative Redistricting Committee came up with their own map and will forward that to a special session next month.

Meeting yesterday, (Monday) Senator Casey Crabtree of Madison made the case for his map proposal, called “Blackbird two point oh”……

Senator Jim Bolin of Canton was not happy with the map….

Committee Chair, Senator Mary Duvall of Pierre outlined the process for the map proposal….

The House committee came up with a different map version. Legislators will have to agree on a final map during the special session, or the Supreme Court will have the final say.
