Over one point three million dollars have been awarded to twenty-five school districts by the South Dakota Legislature in a second wave of Classroom Innovation Grants. The money is to be used for teacher training, classroom access to virtual education and customized learning tools.

The funds come from Senate Bill 133, part of the 2016 education package. Second round recipients were selected from among 30 applications.
