The South Dakota legislature debated a bill this year that would have protected the teaching of certain scientific information. That bill made it through the Senate before being killed in a House committee.
Yankton Superintendent Wayne Kindle says they had a lot of discussion on that bill….
Kindle says they worked with the District 18 legislative delegation…..
Kindle says schools don’t need legislators setting education policy…..
It was the fourth attempt to pass a similar bill.
