Yankton School Superintendent Dr Wayne Kindle gave a presentation to the school board Monday night about ongoing funding issues.

He says state aid has been too low, and inconsistent over the past few years…..

Kindle says they will continue to press state officials to put more money in the funding formula…..

The state sales tax was increased two years ago to fund teacher pay raises. Kindle says that is not a one time fix…..

Kindle says many schools have not yet recovered from the ten percent state cut in 2010.
