SD River Basin Task Force Meeting

The River Basin Natural Resource District Oversight Advisory Task Force holds their last meeting of the year in Pierre.
The task force was set up by legislation passed in this year’s legislature, and changes water management to drainage basins instead of county lines.

Senator Arthur Rusch of Vermillion is a member of the task force, and says they will be looking at maps and drawing lines….

Rusch says there will be a number of representatives in each basin…..

Rusch says they also have to look at the type of management each basin will have…..

The task force will also take public comments and set up their meeting dates for next year.
