SD River Basin Task Force Making Progress on Natural Resource Districts

The process to add natural resource districts to South Dakotas political map is continuing.

The River Basin Natural Resource District Oversight Advisory Task Force met this week in Pierre to further refine district and subdistrict boundaries, and other details.
The task force was set in motion by a bill passed by the 2015 legislature.

Task force member Karl Jensen of Whitewood says natural resource districts are needed to protect the states waters….

Jensen says they have to work through more details on maps and representation…..

Task Force Chair Kim Vanneman of Ideal says they can make final decisions at their next meeting…..

The task force will hold their next meeting on November 22nd in Pierre.
