SD Retailers Dealing with Online Competition

A major change is underway in retail sales with a number of well know regional and national names restructuring or closing.
Among them; J.C. Penney, Gordmans, and Vanity. Some of that is attributed to the growth of online sales.
Shawn Lyons, Executive Director of the South Dakota Retailers Association says their members are feeling it too…..

Lyons says they have made attempts to be proactive, with legislation passed a year ago…..

Lyons says the next step is for Congress to impose state sales taxes on all online sellers.
