A new regional analysis of post secondary return on investment finds immense benefits from obtaining higher levels of education, beyond a high school diploma. The South Dakota Board of Regents conducted the study. Daniel Palmer was the main researcher….

Palmer says the study shows if students take the time to earn a degree after high school, the return on their investment is exceptional…

Palmer says in South Dakota, workers with a Bachelor’s Degree will earn about $700,000 more than a worker with a high school diploma only. He says the benefits extend to everyone…

Palmer says people who hold college degrees not only earn a higher income, but are also more likely to participate in local government, civic organizations and are less likely to be imprisoned.
The return on investment study can be found on the South Dakota Board of Regents website.
