While a decision is still pending in Washington on federal permission to build the Keystone XL oil pipeline, the permits for that path in South Dakota have expired.
Public Utilities Commissioner Chris Nelson says they have not yet heard from operator Trans Canada…………

Nelson says it’s up to Trans Canada to take the next step………….

Nelson says the public will have another chance to comment if and when Trans Canada makes their re-application……

The pipeline would carry crude oil from tar sands fields to the US Gulf Coast.
