The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission has wrapped up its oversight and receivership of the Farmers Cooperative Elevator in Avon.

PUC Chairman Chris Nelson says they got involved when the elevator lost its bond…..

Nelson says they helped with the sale of the elevator to Farmers Pride of Nebraska….

Nelson says their priority in these cases is to make sure all the grain producers get paid….

Nelson says while their active role in the receivership has ended, they are monitoring one bankruptcy case connected to the elevator sale.
