Public Utilities Commissioner Gary Hanson was easily reelected to his fourth, six-year term on the commission.
He got sixty nine percent of the vote to twenty five percent to democrat Remi Bald Eagle.

Hanson, a former Mayor of Sioux Falls, also served in the legislature before being elected to the PUC in 2002.
