The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission approved a permit last week for the Wild Springs Solar energy facility near New Underwood.

Commissioner Gary Hanson says he supports these type of projects..
The project will spread across fifteen hundred acres and produce up to one hundred twenty-eight megawatts of electricity. The development will cost about one hundred ninety million dollars and should be operational in 2022.
